Within our project at Sydney Road, we completely re-modelled the ground floor plan of a Victorian terrace to better accommodate a young, active family. 

Rather than extending into the small rear garden, the design focuses on maximizing the existing footprint. We incorporated a spacious oriel window with a built-in bench seat. This small move unlocked challenging layout difficulties and provides an abundance of natural light into the kitchen area. In doing this we have both preserved the rear garden space and allowed the centre of the house to receive natural light and direct access to the garden. The resulting layout creates a more liveable and efficient space.
