Within this project, we aimed to unlock the potential of this tired Victorian Terrace property in Kensal Rise as the existing layout suffered with dark and inefficient circulation, a lack of storage and awkwardly shaped spaces. The rigorous concept design process led us to layout changes and mechanisms that free up space, without needing to extend the property into an already cramped garden. The resulting ground floor layout sees the utility and WC placed at the centre of the property, freeing up an open plan kitchen / dining room made to feel even larger by the insertion of an oriel window into the side exterior wall.
